Apparently some people work best loose and fast, but I know that if I wasn't forcing myself to sit and write, it would never happen. For me, the only way I can hope to get anything done is to create a habit, until it's just what I do every day between these hours, and any residual fear or anxiety about it becomes secondary to getting the job done. It's tough, but it's like an exercise routine - it feels almost impossible for the first couple weeks and then you fall into a groove. And then you don't have to worry so much about getting in the mood, because you already know, whether you're having a bad day or a good day, you'll be there, writing.
